Rick, Great project. Could you share the specifics of your struts? What is the part number and how were they modified? Also, I know your spindles are late model Mustang - are they SN95? How about your track width? Kevin
Kevin, The struts are from SN95 which Koni shortened the housing and shaft by 2.5 inches and threaded the bottom for coil over adjustment. The spindles are from SN95 also, 96 spindles were straight across, but I wanted the curve up for rack and pinion set-up. Hopefully it works out, if not, I have a pair of 96s also. Outside track width is 66 with 8 inch wide rims. This is all new for me also. Just trial and error at this point. Thanks for the interest.
This is a site dedicated to the restoration of a 1965 Mustang Fastback that I bought in November of 2005. The restoration has been delayed by my free time (or lack of) and the advanced state of decay the car was in - which I wish I had realized before I bought it. Comments are always welcome!
